Player Implementation!
In general implementing the player character into the game was relatively smooth. The biggest issue right now is the textures, not being set in the players materials. I put an asset called "Paragon: Kwang" into my UE 5.4 mule project and migrated only the important files for the character into the SPACE BLOOD project. I spent around 2 hours having to set all the textures in all the materials for the character and the thing about paragon assets is they're detailed and have many materials so it took some time. Well... Dont waste your time doing what i did because all the materials reverted back to no textures again somehow. I remigrated the player asset back into the project again and the materials started to work! until they didn't again.
I'm still not sure what the issue is because the textures and all the materials, I have confirmed this, have been properly migrated. So I still have to look into this issue. At least we are still in our prototype stage so this is nothing to stress over! I have the main functionality for the player in the game now because I decided I need to move on from that issue and get some actual work because in game dev you have priorities, especially in team builds. I have a camera actor that follows the player and its spawned by the player controller and the player character has movement in the 8 directions with animation that I need to sync just a bit more. There is enhanced input, so overall I think there has been great progress!
